Atlas / Methodology

Transparent by design.

Every number should tell you where it came from, what configuration it describes and when it was checked.

Price tracking

We prefer first-party API documentation. Rates are normalized to US dollars per output second at a named resolution. Subscription credits, promotional rates and reseller prices are labeled separately rather than blended.

Speed tracking

Provider benchmarks are labeled as provider-reported. Independent measurements should disclose prompt set, queue conditions, region, resolution and sample size. Directional estimates are never presented as guarantees.

AI Slop Index

The project score combines four equally visible components: novelty, audience control, continuity and transparency. It measures the viewing format, not whether AI-made art is inherently good or bad. Sponsorship never changes a score.

Corrections and updates

Each price record carries a review date and direct source. When a source becomes unavailable, the rate should be marked stale instead of silently retained.
